Hey people,
As we have talked over the past few months about putting a more tangible emphasis on serving, we now have something that we as a church can sink our teeth into. As I sat and listened to Teresa Jackson share about her ministry and how over the course of a year she helps over 35,000 people, I thought to myself, "Who helps the person that spends their whole life focused on others?". The answer that I came up with is... US! So beginning
Saturday,
February 2nd we are going to start a major remodel of her facilities.
Sharing Life's facilities need this in the most desperate of ways. I also wanted the job that we do to be on a professional level. So we are going to replace all the peeling up vinyl flooring with ceramic tile, and all the plastic base boards with real wood base boards. We are going to replace all the ceiling tiles that are yellowed and covered with old mismatched paint colors with new ones. We are going to prime and paint all walls and doors. As Brad Bloomer put it, when we leave there it needs to look like a Doctors office. So lace up your work boots, and put on those old work clothes and lets get ready for a few Saturdays spent together changing someones situation for the better! More details will be forth coming this week!
Peace,
