Third Preview Recap
The music went awesome. We opened with Better Days by the Goo Goo Dolls. For the congregational singing we did Angels We Have Heard On High, Little Drummer Boy, and O Holy Night. Levi's message was entitled "You Are the Reason For the Season." Jesus coming to earth is the reason for the celebration but why did He come to earth? For you and for me. If it wasn't for our brokenness, God would've had no reason to come to earth, but because of our brokenness and because He loves us so much, He came to earth to provide a way into real life. After the message Jonathan sang Glory of It All by David Crowder*Band, which has a beautiful refrain saying, "we will never be the same, we will never be the same..." It was awesome. Everyone was excited about the day.
Here are some more pictures of our gathering. Enjoy!

Volunteer Project on Saturday, Dec. 15
Hey guys,
Monday night we talked a little bit about our guest speaker that will be joining us this Sunday, Teresa Jackson from Sharing Life Community Outreach.
Click here to download a form that details the December 15th event that we will be volunteering at. It clearly identifies all of the things Sharing Life needs donated for their Holiday Faire. Page 2 gives you some ideas on things that we can donate. I will be taking these donations over to Sharing Life next Friday, December 14th. If donations are not received this Sunday night, I will be more than happy to pick them up next week.
Also, I am looking for people who can take a collection box for toys to their work place. I have 2 extra boxes. Please let me know if this is something that you would be interested in.
I am really excited about all of the opportunities for us and thanks a million for everyone’s interest!
Peace,Jono
Second Preview Recap
Our second preview went really well. We made some really cool upgrades including the black backdrop and stretchy fabric for projection. We had some new faces and some that returned from last time. Levi's message was really enlightening as he shared with us some misconceptions of spiritual growth. He shared the vision of having groups of people that come together and share in each other's lives.
Here are some pictures before our gathering began. Enjoy!

Family Day and First Preview Recap
Wow. What a weekend. We've been going non-stop for the last few weeks in preparation for this weekend and everything was worth it. Our people worked hard very hard and made the event and the gathering a success.
To begin, last week was the week of doorhangers. We went out last Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to hang them on houses around the school, where we're meeting for worship, and around the park, where the Family Day event was going to be held. Overall, we hung around 3500 doorhangers of the 5000 that we ordered.Saturday morning we met at the school to set up all the equipment and stuff for Sunday morning. Everyone came to lend a hand and we got all the big stuff up and ready in about 2 hours. We spent the last hour getting sign holders put together, hanging banners, getting a sound check, and other things. A job well done by our people.
We then met at the park 3 hours later to set up for the Family Day. We had hay bails and pumpkins, a sign-in tent, the grill, 2 inflatables, and about 10 carnival games for the kids to play. We were set and ready to go. Levi manned the grill and I was the MC, as well as the obstacle course attendant. It was so awesome to see all the kids that were there. Our thoughts were correct in that Rowlett is full of kids. We gave away the Wii at the very end and it made one kid very happy. At the end of the day, we had around 200 people that came to the event. It was awesome.
Sunday morning was such a relief. We didn't have to set up all the equipment and that made all the difference. We came and got all the coffee and donuts ready, got the outside signs up, and had one more practice through the music. A couple of people came to help in different areas so that was a blessing. We had 8 guests! That includes adults and children. We are so excited that we got to meet these folks and share our heart with them. The music went great, Levi's message was awesome, and the kids had a good time. What more can you ask for. There were definitely things we thought could go better next time (i.e. the video cord from the projector had a glitch in it and so the words danced all morning) but overall it was a successful day.
Thanks so much for everyone that helped and everyone that prayed to make sure that this weekend went well. It was an exciting time!
